This notice describes how Paceline Bio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit paceline.bio, fill in our contact form, or otherwise engage with us, including at marketing or events (together, the "Services"). If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Services. Questions go to [email protected].

1. What information do we collect?

Information you give us

We collect personal information you voluntarily provide when you contact us, express interest in our products and Services, or participate in activities on the Services. Through our contact form this is:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Company
  • The service you are interested in
  • The contents of your message
  • Whether you opted in to marketing email from us

We do not process sensitive personal information, and we do not collect information about you from third parties. All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Services we automatically collect device and usage information: IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language, referring URLs, country, the pages you view and the links you click, and timestamps. This information does not reveal your specific identity and is used to keep the Services secure and operating and for our internal analytics. We use two tools for this:

  • PostHog records page views, clicks, and the device data above, and also receives the information you submit through the contact form. We do not record sessions or replay your visit.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics records aggregate, cookieless traffic statistics for the pages served by our host.

Cookies and similar technologies

PostHog stores a first-party cookie and local storage entry on your device so that repeat visits and a contact-form submission can be associated with one another. Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the Services still work without them. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not collect analytics data (seesection 8).

2. How do we process your information?

We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, keep the Services secure, and comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent. Specifically:

  • To respond to you. Contact-form submissions become support tickets so we can answer your enquiry and provide the requested service.
  • To send you marketing communications, only if you ticked the box asking for updates. You can opt out at any time (see section 7).
  • To identify usage trends and improve the Services. We use analytics to understand how the Services are used, measure the effectiveness of our marketing, and improve our products, marketing, and your experience.

3. When and with whom do we share your personal information?

We share personal information only in the following situations:

  • Service providers. Companies that process data on our behalf under contract: PostHog (analytics and our support inbox), Cloudflare (website hosting and web analytics), and Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when it serves the fonts used on the Services. All of these store data in the United States.
  • Legal obligations. Where required to comply with law, a court order, or a government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or those of others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business by another company.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

4. How long do we keep your information?

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this notice, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). Contact-form submissions are kept for as long as we need them to respond to you and maintain a record of our correspondence. If you opted in to marketing, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form.

When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your personal information, we delete or anonymize it, or, if that is not possible (for example, because it is held in backup archives), we securely store and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

5. How do we keep your information safe?

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the personal information we process. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Transmission of personal information to and from the Services is at your own risk. Your information is stored and processed in the United States.

6. Do we collect information from minors?

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from anyone under 18, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete it. If you become aware of any such data, contact us at[email protected].

7. What are your privacy rights?

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email[email protected]. We will consider and act on any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Withdrawing your consent. Where we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal, nor processing conducted on lawful grounds other than consent.

Opting out of marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by contacting us. We may still send you non-marketing messages, such as replies to your enquiries.

8. Controls for Do-Not-Track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") or Global Privacy Control ("GPC") setting you can enable to signal that you do not want your online activity tracked. Our analytics honor these signals: when your browser sends one, we do not collect analytics data about your visit. If you submit the contact form while such a signal is enabled, we treat the submission as your consent to send the information in the form to us so that we can respond, and no further analytics are collected.

9. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have the right to request access to and receive details about the personal information we maintain about you and how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, get a copy of, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law.
